My husband and
I live in Minnesota, on one of the walleye fishing lakes in the
state. We came here just about 5 years ago and now we don't want
to live anywhere else. My husband and I have always found wall
eye fishing exciting and joyful. I got quite surprised when one
day my husband suddenly started talking about fishing large mouth
bass. We’ve read many articles about fishing large mouth
bass but we personally had never done that so far. We had plenty
of walleye in the freezer and we could always catch more but
my husband insisted on catching large mouth bass.
I agreed to give it a try as I really
enjoy sitting in the boat and getting a tan while my husband
is fishing. Thus, it made no interest to me what my husband was
fishing for, whether walleye or large mouth bass. Once when we
were in the boat my husband managed to catch a large mouth bass
swimming into shallow water. I didn't suppose this kind of fish
would be so beautiful. I saw it shaking his head trying to escape
from the hook in his mouth. I was reading a book while getting
tanned when this happened. My husband asked me to get the net.
I had it standing and watching the magnificent large mouth bass
jump out of the water again. My husband rod almost broke when
the fish bore down but after five minutes of battling, we finally
managed to get the large mouth bass in the boat. We took some
pictures of it and then we released it.
I saw how much fun my husband had while
fishing for the large mouth bass he caught, so I decided that
I also want to catch one. It took me only three casts before
I felt a jolt at the end of the fishing rod and a strong pulling.
I am experienced in fishing but I had no idea that that the large
mouth bass could be so powerful. He swam under the boat trying
to escape. After that he made a large jump and while being in
the air he managed to rid himself of the hook. Even though I
lost the fish, I had no regrets. It was certainly the most thrilling
fish I've seen. Since then my husband and I always went fishing
for large mouth bass.
When you are trying to catch large mouth
bass you should use artificial lures. There is a great variety
of lures, they come in different shapes and sizes. Before I didn't
pay attention to what lures my husband was picking, but now I
after I started fishing for large mouth bass I have started my
own tackle box. This is the most exciting and fun fish to catch.
Now when I am going out in the sea fishing I don't take a book
and I don't tan, I am waiting impatiently with my fishing rod
to catch a large mouth bass.
